GUEST POST from Don: The Re-Colonization of America (part II)

The RE-COLONIZATION of America  (Part II)

We ended our last post with this question:  “What changes do you think are coming?”

What changes can we expect from those NEW immigrants?
1) Poverty, once believed to be a solvable social issue, will become the new standard for a greater percentage of the population.
2) Lack of education and skill will become normalized.  They will be a nation of peoples enslaved by low-paying work more and more likely to be performed by robots and A.I.  This will perpetuate poverty.
3) Crime will increase.  Whenever you increase poverty AND lack of education AND lack of skill there there are few options available to the common man.
4) Socialism.  Those who cannot advocate for themselves are best helped and controlled by a system that “takes care” of them from cradle to grave.  Thus, the system of government will have to change to that which more resembles that from which they came.  As a result, their hope for “freedom” will become a trap which will deny them that for which they came.
5) Unfortunately, as the Native Peoples found, the resulting changes are NOT for the better for those Peoples already here.  Social systems will break down.  Those relying on Social Security, Medicare, or even the GI Bill may be in for rude awakenings as the programs they paid taxes to foster are stripped due to declining government revenues (or worse, graft).

So, what is the gain hoped for by those encouraging and fostering this new migration?  Certainly, they have no “long view” in mind.  The “long view” is horrid.  So, the value must be in the form of short-term gains.  More power?  More control?  History shows us that those who hope to gain from radical change are often the very first victims of it.  Radical change usually first devours business owners, the rich, the educated, current political leaders, and the skilled.  In the process there is starvation, organized violence or rebellions, and loss for every level of that society.  The result is always a worse nation, a worse society, a worse outcome … for a generation or more.

So, I hold out no great hope for those promoting these changes and this migration.  If history repeats (or rhymes) they will be thrown on the ash heap of their own design.

Building a wall may not be the solution, but it can help by slowing the problem.  Solid border security only works if there is a willingness to remove incentives that impel people to climb over it.  .

I am not a pessimist.  There are solutions.  However, we cannot wait long to implement them.     Once there is a critical mass, and we reach the tipping-point…almost nothing will prevent the impending disaster.  So, if radical changes come what options do we have which worked elsewhere?
– Revival.  England did not suffer the violence that France did because of people like John Wesley and others who preached to coal miners and common folk…and changed their lives.  They found a political solution without intending to do so.
– Resistance.  Sometimes the best way to fight a conflagration is to create smaller fires that burn up the fuel ahead of the raging destruction.  There are instances where creating a stalemate corrected a wrong direction.  Some states have made it more difficult for migrants to join their societies.
– Political change.  Political parties do not have to be “forever” organizations.  Sometimes a populous movement can create a new political party.  When was the last time you saw a Whig on the ballot?  They were eliminated by those who no longer found them useful.  It is possible that WE could eliminate both Republicans and Democrats in favor of a party ruled by sensible and rational thought.  THIS type of solution has WORKED elsewhere.
– Coup.  Not a good solution, but on rare occasions it has worked well.  This forcible ouster of leadership most often leads to death and mayhem.

We could do nothing.  However, I believe that there WILL be those who will not choose that defeatist position.  This is your wake-up call.  Think, pray, and get involved in the future you want.
