Tonight Pete and I had such a lovely evening! We’d planned this enormous meal on the grill, then it started raining, then it cleared up, then we could do it! Pete also started a fire in the fire ring. After the rain it was in the mid-70’s and breezy outside, just perfect! Below is a video clip, followed by some photos, of our wonderful evening!
Phase 1 of our grilled supper: delicata squash, zucchini, and cauliflower, brushed with oil and sprinkled with seasoned salt. I added butter to mine!
Phase 2 of our grilled supper was half of a white eggplant and half of a yellow squash – also seasoned with seasoned salt after being brushed with oil – topped with 2 different kinds of heirloom tomatoes (grilled wrapped in parchment-lined foil).
After our amazing meal we enjoyed some time on the “patio”, enjoying the campfire and the turkeys!
After we came in I spent some time playing my Yamaha PSR-S950, before settling down to watch TV with Pete and create this blog post before going to bed. What a wonderful time we had together today!
YUM I just had delicata squash the other day I love it sooo much cause you can eat the skin on it…..yours looked soooo good. Beautiful day there too….know you guys are loving your spot….:-)…Debbie
I just bought 4 more delicatas yesterday. I’m not a skin eater on most produce, I peel almost everything. Pete eats the skin though…it is a lovely squash I think. Yes, we do love it here! And it is so good to hear from you, you’ve been on my mind!
