WHAT is the PURPOSE of SCHOOL? Talk with 7 teachers or school board members and you’ll get 7 answers, and the last one won’t count … SOCIALIZATION? I’ve read what some write about homeschoolers. They decry the lack of “socialization.” But being homeschooled has nothing to do with socialization. Those children still interact with others their own ages …

GUEST POST from Don – Longevity (part II)
LONGEVITY (Part II) As I mentioned, I was introduced to this topic because of an article I mentioned in the post called “Hoarding?” This explains why THAT article was so far off base. So, genetics plays a much larger role in longevity than scientists once imagined. Nevertheless, in the USA people ARE living a few years longer …

GUEST POST from Don – Intentional Errors
INTENTIONAL ERRORS 1. Nature has this headline: “Five years of COVID vaccines: how a breakthrough created a public-health crisis.” Unfortunately, they misidentified the issue on purpose. They say that the “messaging” about the COVID vaccine caused some people to move away from vaccines altogether. The article claims that those who had the most accurate data should have been …

GUEST POST from Don: Public Schools
PUBLIC SCHOOLS Is this what you want for YOUR kids? Warning! This article may be controversial (I don’t think so, unless wanting the best for our kids is “controversial”) …but read it to the end anyway. Can’t we just admit it? Public schools have FAILED. “When people show you who they are, believe them.” According to Phil Whitmer, …

GUEST POST from Don: TEW
TO, TOO, TWO, and TEW Recently a friend sent a text which required me to do some interpretation (took me longer to figure out what he meant than it took him to type it). Wrong use of TO, TOO, TWO, or TEW. Eliminate “TEW.” You have never used it before, nor will you need it unless you …
