CREATE IN ME A CLEAN HEART words and music by Mac Lynch
FAITHFUL MEN words and music by Ron Hamilton
FOR ALL THE SAINTS words by William How, music by Ralph Vaughan Williams
FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD words by Frances Townsend, music by Alfred B Smith
What a beautiful way to end my day. The birds’ favorite was the first one (Create in Me a Clean Heart)! One or the other of them sang along a couple times. Faithful Men sounded as though there was a choir in the background. I heard voices singing along. My favorite was For All the Saints. I loved following your ‘running’ left hand throughout. And I was familiar with the final one (For God So Loved the World). Your beautiful music provides a ‘warmth’ that no furnace can provide during these very, very cold days and nights. Such a rich blessing you provide your viewers! Absolutely lovely! Good night!
HAHA, yes, the birds definitely have their favorites :). In fact they are often swaying or dancing while I play! Good ear, yes I put a choir in the background of Faithful Men! As I’m working my through the songs I chose last summer I’m both making some great discoveries of new songs I like, and enjoying putting fresh settings on the old ones. I am planning doing my old favorites on Sundays in February because, really, there are no hymns that touch the heart like that traditional ones I think. Thank you as always for your kind words and encouragement, Annette!
