Today we went out to do some shopping, we haven’t bought groceries since before I went to Kentucky and we were due for some. As usual, we headed over to the Amish area where we like to shop.
Bye…be back soon!
But first, lunch at Big R’s Hogs & Dogs Drive-In!
After a quick stop at the Amish grocery store where we filled a big box with bargains it was time for my long-awaited haircut! I haven’t had once since mid-February so I was long past due!
We’ve driven past this place once or twice but never shopped here before. It is a self-serve place, the proprietor was on site and was a great source of information! I was thrilled to find lots of squash, 2 of my very favorite fresh produce items are squashes of all kinds, and cabbage! Plus lovely heirloom tomatoes…JACKPOT!
My little yard owl was waiting for us when we got home, too.
BONUS!!! I had intended to end this post with the yard owl, but after we had settled in for the evening “our” turkey families came by for a visit. Pete had put some corn around the massive tree in the yard tonight, and they had no trouble at all finding it…or straying up toward the house. So cool…the turkeys are my favorite of all the wildlife!
Home sweet home love your spot and that you get your turkey friends to come and visit even better…..I am due for a haircut….love the way yours came out bet it feels sooo good. YUM!!! your lunch looked really delicious….hope all is well with you guys…..listen know you don’t have a lot of room in the RV for extra groceries but you have the second one now….just have enough food for a few weeks two or three and rotate out cause I think we are going to see crazy stuff happening in the world and just in case things where to happen that you can’t get to the store you have some stuff just like a snow storm or hurricane etc…..been praying for our country and of course relying on God….but it is very hard to watch the evil among us know you guys feel the same way…..love you both…..:-)….Debbie
Yes, we’re stocking up. We never know what will happen in the future, and we can’t live long on venison and turkeys :). We always have enough food to last us for several weeks, if not a month. Wise advice. Things we never thought we’d see in our lifetime are now happening every day.
Prayer, reliance on God, faith and assurance of the eventual outcome will see us through. Love you too, I hope you’re having a great weekend!
