BRILLIANT!!! Your last statement lit a lightbulb in my brain…Maisie is made up mostly of herding/guardian stock. And THAT explains why she is so restless until we all come together! And then she will happily look around at us, pick up her bone, and start chewing. We’ve always commented, “Why, every time one of us is out and comes home, does she go for her bone?” It’s like her statement of contentment, and it doesn’t matter WHO. When J&E are here, she does the same when they go out and come back in. Or when the grands are here…restlessness when they are outside, and a contented chew as soon as they come back in and we’re all together again. We’ve commented on that so many times, and NOW it makes sense!!

You found a picture of me- the strong and amazing dog pushing through. ???
Love the dog bowl idea and the dog that fell asleep is precious. ????
The dog who was herding sheep reminds me of an Australian Cattle dog we had. She would get so mad if everyone was not in the same room.
