The Spirit has been helping me to deal with issues with which I’ve been struggling lately. In my moderating I read a lot of things from Christians that stab at my soul. I humbly understand, from my own actions especially, that even the most devoted followers of God make mistakes, have blind spots, and hurt others – however unintentionally. Of course there are also the things CINOs (Christian In Name Only) share that sometimes shock me to my core. And so, in wrestling with all of this God has brought me wisdom from His Word that has helped me to grow and to deal with the various things to which I am exposed online. I had planned to share much of that yesterday in a Saturday Social post but He impressed upon me that “we” – as He leads me so completely as I do them – would be doing it in today’s Supernal Sunday post instead. As I took the lessons from the Word into my heart I also put them into my usual form for sharing on my site: memes. I hope that you may be as blessed by what the Lord has been teaching me as I have been; I am looking forward to using these lessons as I go forward in sharing, moderating, communicating, loving, and becoming more like Christ, especially on social media.
FIRST THINGS
First we have to know that we are no longer part of the world once we know Jesus and His Spirit inhabits our very being.
We don’t think like the world, act like the world, talk like the world, or see life like the world anymore.
TIME FOR LOVE
One of the many changes that takes place in us is that the Father fills us to overflowing with His love, so that it pours out onto others. His love can’t be comprehended completely but it is so real that it draws others to Him, and He uses His children – us – to make this happen!
GUIDANCE
But HOW?? God tells us how, in His Word and through others who are serving Him. These are just a few examples.
HOW DOES THIS APPLY TO SOCIAL MEDIA?
(“RACA”, in case you were wondering, means “empty-headed” – in this context, “You are empty-headed!”)
SOME FINAL THOUGHTS
These are the things that have been impressed upon my spirit, that I need make part of all of my dealings with people, online and off. How I communicate shows whether I am part of the sometimes-mean and often-unkind world, or whether I am exuding, through the Holy Spirit, His love, comfort, compassion, and kindness for others. Those with whom I agree when it comes to worldly issues, and those with whom I don’t. Because in the end, ONLY what impacts eternity will matter and any disagreements or differences in opinion here will have absolutely no value whatsoever. (And what matters in eternity, as we grow more Christlike, will matter most to us now.)

Very good Word. We are not of this world and thus are home is not here. While we are here….
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philippians 4:8
And be thankful for these as all good thing come from God.
Amen! Thank you for your thoughts, my love – great words from your heart!
