I’ve been listening to a lot of Southern Gospel music this week…I guess that shows in my arrangements of today’s selections!
WITHOUT HIM words and music by Mylon Lefever
AT CALVARY words William Newell music Daniel Towner
GLORY TO HIS NAME words Elisah Hoffman music John Stockton
As always, this is to share with my friends, not a performance. But I hope you enjoy it anyway!

I remember singing At Calvary and Glory to His Name as a kid, but the latter was not nearly as ‘jazzed-up’ as you played it, and neither one was at such a fast tempo. Frankly, I like YOUR interpretations much better! As always, I enjoyed your piano presentations. Thank you. Good night.
The church we were members of when we lived in Houghton Lake was rather staid…the song leader, Mary, was a dear precious older woman of the Lord, and original hymns were all sung pretty much the same. Once we started going there and I had been accompanying her for a few months, I “enlivened” Victory in Jesus at one service. There was a mixture of surprise and delight and everything in-between from the congregation I think but Mary got a big kick out of it, and the majority of the congregation were smiling too. So I chose a handful of the songs to give them the same treatment, and every so often I’d wake everybody up with one of them. Glory to His Name was a popular one hahaha! You’re welcome❣️
