Got some cute pictures of my boiz this morning as they were hanging out on my ottoman. (One of the photos is from last night, when Max first landed on their new play stand which was a project that Emma and the girls did recently.) I just love these sweet boiz so much…
For those not familiar with my boiz, Elliot is my Meyer’s parrot. I got him in 1999, the day after his first hatchday; I was able to locate his breeder from his leg band, and so learn the exact date he had hatched. Maxwell is a red-bellied parrot, who was about 2 years old when he came to live with me from a wonderful loving home. I believe he 3-ish years younger than Elliot (can’t remember what year I got him). They are both poicephalus parrots, which are my absolute favorite genus of parrots (although the pionus are a VERY close second)! Since it is unlikely I will ever acquire any more parrots in my life, I am thrilled that the last of my flock are my PoiBoiz!
