Today I wish to introduce you to P.D.Q. Bach, a fictional composer created by the brilliant , late, great composer Peter Schickele , in the event that you haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy his work. I grew up appreciating the subtle – and not-so-subtle – humor found in his zany compositions, and his music brought me many laughs, as well as teaching me about the finer points in music. His gift for pure schtick highlighted those nuances that would have slipped by unnoticed otherwise.
