For those who have been following me a while here or on Sherry Shares you know that I have recently purchased a couple of modern hymnals and have been working my way through them. Step one is to quickly sight-read every song, marking the ones I want to come back to and work on. Step two, when I finish the entire hymnal, is to set the timing, instrumentation, backings, and other settings as registrations on my Tyros5-76 for those songs I had marked.
So far I have played through one of the books (708 songs, 89 of which I’d marked) and have now recorded the first 3 that I worked on. Those are the 3 that are shared below. I plan to share the songs as I record, no more than 3 at a time.
As always, this is to share with my friends, not a performance. But I hope you enjoy it anyway!

What a beautiful ending to my day! I listened while indulging in my favorite snack (Gardettos Snack Mix, Original Recipe). I thought I might recognize the third selection, (All the Way My Savior Leads Me) but the melody was not the same one I knew. Yes that 3rd song had different music to it than I’d heard before too. But I found as I was working my way through the first new book that I was marking mostly unfamiliar-to-me songs! Not intentional but those the the ones that tended to grab hold of me. I appreciate your encouragement and support, and am happy you enjoy them❣️
