Music Monday – March 18, 2024 Edition

On my Yamaha Tyros5

As always, this is to share with my friends, not a performance. But I hope you enjoy it anyway!
“If you seek perfection, look elsewhere.” ~ Chiafucius

Verse 1

I’m kind of homesick for a country
To which I’ve never been before
No sad good-byes will there be spoken
For time won’t matter anymore

Chorus 1

Beulah land I am longing for you
And someday on Thee I’ll stand
Where my home shall be eternal
Beulah land sweet Beulah land

Verse 2

I’m looking now across the river
Where my faith will end in sight
There’s just a few more days to labor
Then I will take my heav’nly flight

Verse 3

I see the lights I hear the singing
A brand new song of joy divine
My soul rejoices just in knowing
That soon these pleasures will be mine

  1. Oh goodness! How beautiful. I’m not familiar with the song/hymn, but I like it very much. The picture is now ‘right-side-up’ and the balance between bass clef and treble clef is very good. Way to go Sherry! I liked your playing before, and I like it now…balance or no…upside-down or right-side-up. Whatever. Your talent is a blessing to all who listen. Thank you!

    1. I forgot to put a link to the lyrics – doggone it…but yeah, I figured out how to turn the video and you were right, it does look better! I also adjusted my pan settings on that song tonight, and moved my speakers a little bit…anyway, I was hoping the difference would be noticeable! Thanks for listening and commenting :). I will go add the lyrics to the post right now! Thank YOU for your encouragement and support dear Annette!

  2. Beautiful, as always!! Thank you for taking the time to record and post these (I know it isn’t a brief process).

    1. No it isn’t…I tried to make a video one time to show the process but even after I edited out everything I possibly could the resulting collection of snippets was over an hour long. I figured nobody would sit for an hour watching that LOL so it never saw the light of day 🙂

You have so many talents. And, this song is perfect for the days we live in. When we were children, we did not understand our grandparents obsession with Heaven, but now that we are their age, we understand.

    To God be the glory!
