Some of these happened during my childhood…some after…only a couple predate my birth!
Unfortunately (or fortunately) I remember almost ALL of these! I got a chuckle out of the family watching TV. They’re ALL dressed-up ROYALLY, even the kids on the floor! What a way to watch TV! I imagine the parents got a REAL ‘kink’ in their necks with the couch off to the side of the low TV! Thanks for sharing!
YES! And I remember the kink in MY neck from looking up at the TV from the floor :). At some point, however, my dad started laying on the floor to watch it, and soon we had a much lower TV LOL!
Must be they never owned a TV before as they either didn’t plug it in or know how to. turn it on… or they were just ‘watching the TV’s lol
That’s SO funny. I didn’t even NOTICE that the TV wasn’t even ON…I was just amazed that they were so dressed-up to be watching TV.

Good observation. I didn’t notice the TV was off. ?? Perhaps this family was awake after midnight- the Star Spangled Banner had already played and television signed off until morning. (Back in the days before 24 hour television.) ????
Oh yeah…I remember so many times falling asleep to Johnny Carson and waking up to a test pattern LOL!
