This morning, as most mornings, I let the PoiBoiz out to play.
Maisie, however, is terrified of Elliot, ever since he grabbed her ear as she was walking past him one time. She usually just goes upstairs for the duration…
…but this time she put her paw out and begged Pete for his protection.
When he told her just to lay down and Elliot would leave her alone, she apparently thought she had to be more insistent!
Soon she was up in his face.
“But, Dad, he’s RIGHT THERE!”
“Maybe if I don’t look at him he won’t see me…”
“That’s better, my plan seems to be working!”
Then, suddenly, Elliot took off and came right at her! It happened so fast, it was all a blur!
“Did you see that, Mom? Dad had to cover my ears so Elliot wouldn’t bite them again! Please put him back in his cage?”
And so I did. Her ears were safe. And peace once again reigned.

It was jus awful, Ant Heidi! He hates my ears…hi to Missy, cant wait to play!
Maisie is a good girl… in need of security
She doesn’t get that uncertain about anything else that I know of – but Elliot really puts her in a corner 🙁
Not much brings her down…but I think she NEEDS to be loved, by everyone, and Elliot going after her that one time was devastating…such a sweet sweet gurl…
Loved the MP today, just watching her be needy and vulnerable when she is usually in charge on your behalf felt so sweet and innocent to me!! If I was a betting person, I would bet that she far prefers being in charge!! <3
I have only seen her vulnerable when it involve Elliot, too! One nip on the ear and that’s all it took to bring her down. Typically, as you’ve seen, she is definitely in charge!
