Yesterday Maisie woke up with a swollen eye. She’d also had a “light” cough for a couple of weeks but nothing I considered worrisome. Still it was time to take her to the vet! See the captions with the photos below…

In the end Maisie came home with a 4-week course of antibiotics, and steroids. It was determined that she had an upper respiratory infection (lungs sounded clear – yay!) and a bug bite to her upper eyelid that was already resolving! But she had fun being the center of attention and getting lots of petting and treats from Dr. Smith and Aubrey, now she can’t wait to go back!

I’m so relieved that Miss Maisie is in good hands, and her problems are being addressed and resolved. She certainly deserves every consideration available to her. Thank you for being such great ‘dog-parents’ to your cherished furbabies.
Yes, she absolutely does – she deserves all good things…dogs like Maisie are few and far between I think she is such a blessing to us (as are you!)
I have missed so much. You LIve in a bus now?? or Just a project?
No, when we were living in our 5th wheel (Myrtle) in the country we also had a small travel trailer for traveling, which doubled as Pete’s “ham shack”. Last year we bought HoWie the bus to use for future travels instead, and also bought a house (Gloria) where we now live. Lots of changes for sure!
