Who doesn’t love FREE??? Here are some great resources for free sheet music. Note that since I play 99% Christian music, that is what I have to share. I love hymns, CCM (Contemporary Christian Music), and SGM (Southern Gospel Music); I have always enjoyed a good solo piano arrangement although if/until I get the use of my right hand back I can’t anymore…BUT I’ve always loved using “fake” music sheets, which contains the lyrics, the melody lines, and chords, and leaves it up to the player to fill in the rest according to ability, imagination, and desire…plus I use them with my ukuleles! Fake Books are a blast, I have bought a ton of them, and I can play to accommodate whichever fingers I can – or can’t – use! And, of course, I play from hymnals, with their standard 4-part scores.
I have most of my resources on my server which isn’t yet hooked up since we moved, but I will happily share what I do have here and can find, as my contribution to World Piano Day!

This Free Sacred Sheet Music site is from the LDS church, which is very generous in sharing! I use several of their sites for music, though I am not Mormon I can find plenty of wonderful songs that are familiar in Christian churches everywhere, and many that aren’t but have wonderful lyrics. I really enjoy the new-to-me music at these sites!
Piano Song Download is a treasure trove for pianists of all levels, but with the tutorials that are available there, those who are learning or working to improve might also find it helpful. The sheet music available there represents multiple genres too!
Hymnary is a site I use a LOT, and maintain a pro subscription as well. They have access to all types of Christian music, and great search capabilities!
The Traditional Music site, from our friends across the pond, is one of those sites you can spend hours exploring, and there is still more! Not all songs are sheet music for piano – and some link to sites where you can purchase music – but the browsing here is great!
Sing The Bible Story is a delightful little site that I just found today, and am looking forward to delving into soon!
I would love to update this list with all of the many other resources I have on my server when I get it back online, if there is any interest :). Meanwhile I hope that will enjoy these!
