Friday Feathers: Life With Birds

These are some photos I took of my “PoiBoiz”, poicephalus parrots Maxwell (red-bellied parrot) and Elliot (Meyer’s parrot) today. It was bright and sunny in here, and their feathers were all so stunning that I decided to snap some shots even though I had only just start cleaning their cages, and Emma won’t be here until tomorrow to clean their area. So it is what it is, just look at my gorgeous sweet parrots and ignore the rest.

My stunning Elliot, the light was perfect to show off his beautiful colors and feather condition!
The shadow on Max’s head makes it look like he has a black cap!

Maxwell’s feathers are every bit as beautiful as his brother’s!
Hmmm…what’s under our table, I wonder…
Do I see a seed that somebody dropped???
I think so! Now how can I get to it…?
Elliot: What does Max see? I gotta go investigate!
Elliot is heading down to “help” Max
Elliot: I see it too!
Time for some calisthenics…chin ups first!
I hate exercise, I think I will add some style to dad’s jeans.
Note the absolutely stunning turquoise feathers on Elliot’s back, you can see some of them just above his tail. When he flies that shimmery bright color is magnificent!
The dogs aren’t too fond of the birds so they just retreat to the bedroom for a nap when the birds aren’t caged.
