These are the photos that Pete took when he was outside, actually walking around the yard and looking at the damage; they tell much more of the story than mine (shown at the bottom) do! I had NO IDEA about some of this…that the top of our majestic cedar tree, which was at least twice as wide as our 5th wheel is long, was gone…anything else that was beyond the tree itself…very traumatizing, in the end.
HOWEVER, seeing the reality of what we only heard since this storm started last night…showed us – and not only us! – that it was ONLY God’s hand that kept us and our home safe amid all of this! People were praying with us as we listened to the cannon-like sound of those massive tree trunks snapping like matchsticks, then crashing to the ground right up next to us, so close that branches would scrape the side as they slid down…the huge clumps of snow and ice that fell on and around us as the wind gusted up to 60mph, yet did no damage, not even to the windows that they hit on the way down. That, folks, is how God takes care of His children. That is what we trust in, and the reason we are told over and over and over again in His own Word, “FEAR NOT!”

This is the first batch of photos from the snow and wind damage of the last 18 hours. I can’t walk through snow that deep (it is nearly a foot and a half at this point) so they were taken from indoors. Pete went out and got some more photos, and those will be posted shortly; if/when we get more snow and/or there are any changes, we will get more photos and I will also share those. As of now they are predicting continued snowfall for another 24 hours. I’ll post on my News & Updates every time I update this post.

Oh WOW! What a mess and how very fortunate you are to have survived this massive storm. Praise our good Lord above for His protection over you and your earthly dwelling. Can you say ‘Miracle’?
From beginning to end these last 24 hours have been a miracle for sure! And if I ever start to doubt, all I have to do is go back and look at those photos again!
Thank you for putting up the ‘healthy’ pics too.
Even your tan tent/shed was not touched!
God does amazing work! <3
He does indeed! And he’s with us in our sadness today too.
God definitely provided. We got our propane tanks follwd before the storm hit.
The tree trunk where it came down by our bedroom, we thought might come down and hit the power line. it came down, missing the power line.
God saw to it that I moved the car before it would have been under that same tree trunk had come down.
Yes, God’s hand of protection was upon us.
onw tree trunk closest to the shelter missed the shelter by about 4 feet.
Ot did take down part of my HF antenn, though.
The bird feeders (suet) came down with one of the tree trunks but did not smash or bury them under the branches. it was easy to move it so the birds come eat from thwm safely.
I was able to refill the feedr for the deer ant turkeys and other critters before the storm hit.
God met our needs and the critters, too, even before all the nasty weather hit.
God is Good all the time and all the time God is Good!
Even missed the well house and the light next to it
That’s a lot of snow!
Wow!!!!!!!!! These pictures certainly tell the story of God being with you through the storm. Those are incredible pictures!!
It was an incredible experience…and a great undeniable reminder of God’s care and protection for His children!
