Our first full day in Kentucky we organized and cleaned up and napped, then decided to drive to nearby (13 miles) Harrodsburg for supper and groceries. We found THE BEST Mexican restaurant EVER, their menu is massive with easily well over 100 items (I’ll count next time), and the portions are HUGE! But the best part is that both the service and then food were fantastic! Since I can’t share the food with you, photos will have to do. After that we went to Walmart for a number of things that we needed, about half of which we forgot to get so will need to go back at some point…but we got the most important stuff anyway. I didn’t take pictures there, everybody’s seen Walmart…we got home after 11:00 p.m. and took care of the critters and crashed…and now you’re all caught up on our first 27 hours in Kentucky!
I still don’t understand why Walmart was so empty of people (staff and customers) and shelf items. They going out of business???
Oh man, El Charros – I can’t say enough about how great the food and service is there – so I won’t. Suffice it to say we were full and happy when we left and will be coming back often while we are here.
