To properly celebrate this most-important day, we are supposed to dress our pets up and take them out to interesting places for their photos. I can’t do that today so these photos will just have to do!
Maisie is my service dog, a rescue, my teammate, right-hand-man, and the best “cur gurl” ever! I don’t know how I’d do life without her! Chuy, also a rescue, is Pete’s legal ESA (for his PTSD) and a character and a half! (What terrier isn’t?) They are the greatest dogs and we love them so much! Elliot is my Meyer’s parrot. I was his 5th home, purchasing him from an online parrot-loving friend when he was 1 year and 1 day old! He is now 26, and is my heart! Maxwell is my red-bellied parrot, who was rehomed with me – an amazing gift! – when he was 2 years old (about 22 years ago), and is the other half of my heart, my dream bird! These “PoiBoiz” (poicephalus parrots) are SO very precious!
