This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

Today’s Advent reading from Meet Him At The Manger is Great News That Will Bring Glorious Joy!
This reading is about knowing the Great News, knowing in our hearts and minds of this baby’s birth celebrated exuberantly with the joyous music of angels and sharing in their jubilation. Truly this is a hard thing at times, especially when all around me I see the holiest of holy days all about the presents and the feasting. Surrounded by what Christmas has become rather than the great news makes it hard to have that glorious joy. I have 6 days left to recapture it.
