Third Sunday reading. One of my favorite blogs is In Him Only, and Rich’s Sunday posts during Advent I find particularly meaningful! Rather than a separate post, I will include a link to Behold, The King! here.
I remember a catch phrase used by Amway many years ago – Give to the greedy – not the needy. Apparently, the greedy would run with their products and make more money. The needy couldn’t afford to run with the big dogs.
In contrast, Jesus said it was the needy who would come to Him while the greedy would not give up their possessions and money for Jesus. Jesus said it was the sick who needed healing and the lost sheep He came to bring back.
Just something to think about.
