Sunday Selections – Feb 22, 2026 Edition

I will be choosing my selections through the end of March from those often used or considered appropriate for the Lenten season leading up to Resurrection Sunday. ~ Sherry

  1. I recognized the first selection, but by a different title (The Church Is One Foundation). I was not familiar with the second selection at all (but it was very nice). Of course I knew My Faith Looks Up to Thee. Such a nice way to end my day. (The birds were very well-behaved tonight…chuckle.) Thank you so much Sherry. I realize the effort it takes to play, record, film, edit, and produce these beautiful selections, especially when you don’t even feel good, but this part of your site is such a rich blessing in the lives of those who choose to watch and listen. Thank you Sherry (and God our Father).

  2. I have noticed that a lot with this book, it will take a traditional melody that is well-known as a certain hymn, and use it as other songs as well. I wish the book also had a cross-reference for those, as there are quite a few. On that particular day the birds were really REALLY loud so I finally grabbed my quilt and, explaining to them first what was happening, covered their cages just long enough to record; that kept them pretty quiet, except for the occasional muffled peep. As soon as I finished, I took the quilt off, told them what good boiz they were, and gave them each a piece of popcorn. It worked pretty well and I will likely do that again in the future, when needed! Anyway, yes, it is harder to do now than normally BUT it is also a blessing to be able do it, and to my own heart as well❣️
