Music is such a huge part of who I am…so when I recently partially lost the use of my right hand and couldn’t play my keyboard, was devastated! (I even “bargained” with God that He could allow me to lose what is left of my mobility if only I could have my hand back!) I went at least a month before I decided try making myself learn how to play differently, which – I reasoned – is better than not playing at all. Though it is difficult to overcome over 60 years of muscle memory, a hand-brain connection that was instinctive, and see making music in a different way (as work, not expression or worship), I persisted nearly every day. Then about a week ago, my hand started to “come back”! I won’t go into details but just know that as of a few days ago I feel that I am able to play at about 90% of my previous proficiency level. And that is what today’s Supernal Sunday post is about. Music is part of my soul and to have it back again brings me more joy than I can describe! So I recorded this today to post with all of these words of praise and honor to my God and my Father! ? ✝️ ? ? ? ✝️ ?
