OK, Wednesday Wonder may not be a “thing” (yet?) but I was reading a wonderful article this morning that I HAD to share!
I have not heard of this tradition before, nor have I heard of dogs being used in bee management. Plus I’m sure Don will be interested as well even though he probably has heard of it. Anyway, I hope you find it as interesting as I did!
I have indeed heard of informing the bees. They even did it in the middle ages as well as colonial America. Yes! I did read that the bees had been informed of the monarch’s death. They should be informed, one would think. Bees were told about every major event including births, marriages, and graduations.
I did not know they had hive-sniffing dogs. That is a wonderful use. So many things can kill the little critters.
I figured you had…why didn’t you tell me?
