Tuesday Truths from the Bible

There is a definite change that takes place when one chooses to follow Jesus, a change of heart and mind that begins, leads to a thirst for Scriptures and time with Him and fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Him, which feeds us and causes us to grow in our quest for “More of You, Lord, and less of me!” Once we start that process as we’re born of the Spirit (The truth is, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit John 3:5NLT) God makes us a new creature. Remember, we are a spirit inhabiting a body – the body will fall off and our spirit is eternal, and THIS is where our new self is created when we are born of the Spirit. I have collected a few memes related to this process, and to our lives when we are living in Him, after our old self has passed away. But first, some Bible verses to keep us on track:

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2Corinthians 5:7 NLT

We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. Romans 6:6 NLT

So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Colossians 3:5 NLT
