Today is the second Sunday within Lent. Last Sunday my Supernal Sunday was about sin and sinners, which is ALL of us. Today’s post shares memes about the effects of sin in the world and in our relationship to God. I am not following any of the schedules that certain denominations use, so these postings, which are simply an effort to bring us clearer meaning of who we are, who Jesus is, and why the resurrection is so important. This is why, if your denomination follows a certain schedule of services during this period, my series – in meme style – won’t coincide.
Second Sunday of Lent, In Him Only by Rich Maffeo
Good ones! I listened to a preacher today who preached from 1 Thessalonians 5:6-
Let us not sleep as others do.
It reminded me of the preacher I heard a few weeks ago who said that the whole world is asleep and it is up to us to be the alarm clock.
That’s a very timely passage…in fact it seems like more and more Scriptures are becoming timely lately, doesn’t it? YES, we definitely need to do our best to wake people up! Even when it breaks our hearts for those who don’t have ears to hear… Thanks for your encouragement, always enjoy hearing from you 🤗
Yes, my sister. You stated it so perfectly. You are such an eloquent wordsmith.
Today I was listening to a series from Pastor Jimmy Evan’s about the end times. Here is a scripture that he used-
“Why all this stress on behavior? Because, as I think you have realized, the present time is of the highest importance—it is time to wake up to reality. Every day brings God’s salvation nearer. The night is nearly over, the day has almost dawned. Let us therefore fling away the things that men do in the dark, let us arm ourselves for the fight of the day!”—Romans 13:11-12
May you have a wonderful week and May God richly bless you.
YES! Amen! And thank you my friend❣️
