I love the 48.9cents gas prices. they were actually less than that when I started driving. Back when I was mowing lawns on the weekends I was only paying 25cents a gallon. Those were the days!
That’s for sure! I remember when my grandmother and I were going somewhere, and stopped for gas. Shaking her head, she told me, “When gas gets up to 30¢ a gallon I’m going to quit driving!” 🙂

No AC! And leather seats in the muscle cars of old…. We would stick to the seats in the summertime and have to peel ourselves out of the car, leaving sweat all over the seats. ??? Even with the windows down, you cannot escape 98-100 degree sweat in the summer.
Ahhh yes, the memories…hahaha! I never thought of those things but they were all too real! Sitting on a towel in the summertime was a given. Those wing windows were no replacement for a/c. But opening the vents across the front – which aren’t a thing anymore – and cracking the rear windows did help a little…as long as we were moving! Fun times, eh? LOL

I can only imagine driving some of those bad boys into steep driveways or through today’s Michigan potholes!! lol
