GUEST POST from Don: Government and Global Warming

GOVERNMENT and GLOBAL WARMING

Government loves pushing us around, but hates solving issues.

I dislike talking about Global Warming*.  It is an old issue which should die a natural death.  It won’t because those who believe it is real keep pushing their agenda.  Thus, we are FORCED to deal with this problem in the only way that will achieve the STATED GOAL.  We have to tell the TRUTH they refuse to own up to.  (*The term ”Climate Change” is a way to misdirect the discussion.  All the evidence for “Climate Change” is exactly the same evidence used to prove “Global Warming.”  Why not be honest?  We are talking about Warming, not Change.  The climate is not going to be raining ice cream cones, is it!)

The number one lie of global warming is not likely what you are thinking.  The #1 lie: “We can solve this through technology.”  The assumption of this lie is that we can stop Global Warming by buying expensive electric vehicles.  An example:  the problem of a balanced budget.  (You have $100.  A candy bar costs $0.99.  How many candy bars can you buy?  The problem is inflation keeps happening.   A candy bar TODAY is $0.99, but in a year it is $1.09.  If you get a raise (like the idea that technology will help us) and now are earning $101 you have not WON, because you can afford fewer candy bars.)  It is the same with Global Warming.  Let’s propose that each person on earth TODAY is causing 2 lb of greenhouse gas per day (I made that up for illustration purposes).  If we reduce the amount of greenhouse gas created by each person to 1.99 lb per day (a 0.5% reduction) we win, right?  Unfortunately there is inflation … the population is growing by more than 1% (TWICE AS FAST as our efforts to reduce greenhouse gases).  End result is MORE greenhouse gas in the atmosphere than the year before.  We haven’t won.  And this is exactly what is happening.

Biden, et.al continue to push electrification of everything.  We all know it is stupid, but do we know why it is stupid?  Many think it is stupid because it is an expensive “cure.”  Nope.  If it were a “cure” it could make sense.  But, as I mentioned earlier and will discuss later, electrification is not even very helpful.

Fact: We added 75 million more people to the earth between Jan 1, 2023 and Jan 1, 2024.  That’s like building 4¼ New York Citys per year.  To put it another way, it is like adding another California, Texas, and South Carolina to the world every year.  Or, one more, we are increasing our world population by enough people to fill Canada twice every year.  Just so you know, 2023 was a below normal growth year.  Will moving to all electric homes and EV transportation solve global warming?  (Hysterical laughter ensues).

100% NO!

First, we cannot keep up with the electrification needs of millions more people.  We are already stretched near the limits.  Many countries (including China) rely heavily on coal to produce that electricity.  Few are adding nuclear and fewer still are upgrading their hydro-electric systems.  When we keep allowing the world population to grow the climate savings are utterly lost!

It is a huge joke.  Or, it would be if it weren’t being pushed as “the solution” by many.  It solves NOTHING, absolutely nothing.  Even if the world went to 100% electrification by the end of 2024 it would only SLOW the GROWTH of greenhouse gases by a small fraction.  Electrification is merely a way to LOSE Monopoly one turn later.  It isn’t worth the expense.  Which begs the question:  Why are we playing footsie with the edges?

China is showing us what happens when we slow reproductive health.  There are not enough workers to pay for government services.  Government NEEDS more people.  That is one of the key reasons the US has an open border policy.  We NEED those millions of warm bodies HERE to pay for future needs.  Their children will become workers, earning money and paying the taxes the government needs to operate.  Unfortunately, if we shut it all down today, the money the government is spending to allow those illegals to come here would not be repaid.  Thus, allowing illegals in becomes a forever deal.  We can’t stop inviting millions in or we dive into a long depression.  Without them the population growth of the United States would be less than half of the world average.

So, government is doing the next best thing, it is pushing electrification.  It is doomed to fail, but it LOOKS productive.

However, (and this is important) the ONLY WAY to stop global warming is to reduce world population through birth control.  Then there’s less need for animal protein, less need for power, less need for transportation and shipping.  We WIN in every way…except that governments fail because their tax base shrinks.  Housing becomes cheaper.  Food and other resources become cheaper, too.  Supply and demand rule.  When the demand drops, so do the prices.  But the problem is that since there are fewer to buy products, there are fewer jobs.  Fewer jobs means more who need government resources, but the governments will have fewer resources to hand out.

The ONLY solution to Global Warming is fewer people.  Amazingly, governments OPPOSE reducing the world population.

Clearly, there is a huge choice to make.  We can solve GLOBAL WARMING through birth control or keep WORLD GOVERNMENTS and play footsie with electrification.  Choose one.  If Global Warming is true, we have to kill the governments.  Government is not the savior, it is the problem.

  1. @GoatsLive – Thanks.

We all wish it weren’t so.
When we look at growth rates there is no chance for electrification to succeed. To put it another way, if we planted trees every year to offset world population growth it would take an area the size of Indiana to plant enough trees … every single year. Could you do that with E-tractors?
