VIDEOS – Music Monday – Nov 3, 2025 Edition

Here are 2 more of the songs that I’ve been enjoying. (For the first I used a verse of a familiar hymn, Fairest Lord Jesus, as an introduction of sorts.) I apologize that the orientation of the videos is “upside down” – I couldn’t remember how to turn them around. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

As always, this is to share with my friends, not a performance. But I hope you enjoy it anyway!

By The Gentle Waters, Cindy Berry

By the gentle waters,
You will safely lead me.
In green pastures feed me,
knowing what is best.
Though I often stray,
Wander far away,
I can hear you say,
“Come to me and rest.”

Though the path be rough and rugged,
Though the trail be dark and steep,
Still the Gentle Shepherd
watches o’er His sheep.

There’s no need to fear,
when the Shepherd’s near.
While Your voice I hear,
“I can comfort sure.”
Keep the love alive,
Sheltered from above.
Leaning in your arms,
I can rest secure.

With the flock abiding,
all my needs supplying,
Comforting and guiding,
leading all the way, all the way.

Jesus, loving shepherd,
You’ll forsake me never.
In your flock forever,
I am thine alone, thine alone.

Though the darkness hide me,
You are close beside me.
Gentle Shepherd guide me,
til I’m safely Home.
Til I’m safely Home.

Jesus Is Lord, Townsend/Getty

ā€˜Jesus is Lord’ – the cry that echoes through creation:
resplendent pow’r, eternal Word, our Rock.
The Son of God, the King whose glory fills the heavens,
yet bids us come to taste this living Bread.

Jesus is Lord – whose voice sustains the stars and planets,
yet in his wisdom laid aside his crown.
Jesus the Man, who washed our feet, who bore our suffering,
became a curse to bring salvation’s plan.

Jesus is Lord – the tomb is gloriously empty!
Not even death could crush this King of love!
The price is paid, the chains are loosed, and we’re forgiven,
and we can run into the arms of God.

ā€˜Jesus is Lord’ – a shout of joy, a cry of anguish,
as he returns, and every knee bows low.
Then every eye and every heart will see his glory,
the Judge of all will take his children home.

  1. I listened, watched, & enjoyed as usual. The second one started off like ‘Fairest Lord Jesus’, but then took off in a totally different direction. Keep up the great work Sherry. You still have TONS of talent left in you…for YOU and US to enjoy!

    1. Good ear! Yes I used a verse of Fairest Lord Jesus as a little intro to Jesus Is Lord :). The lyrics blend so nicely, even though the music is strikingly different!
I pray that I can make music for many more years, I can’t imaging not being able to…thank you for all of your support, Annetteā£ļø
