TELL ME
In talking with others (something I do on purpose about every other day) I find that their interests and mine don’t match. Better, neither of us is wrong, just different.
Of course, that means that there are a plethora of ideas and themes which never occur to my brain. I asked my host (owly) to make a statement to that effect at the bottom of every post. It is an invitation: “Tell me what you would like to see an article exploring and I will do my best to submit something on that subject.”
Who knows? Maybe lots of folk are interested in grapefruit? I like them, but since my wife doesn’t I rarely buy them.
Maybe you are fascinated by hickory nuts? I don’t think I’ve ever given them much thought.
Of course, many folk, when they have a subject of interest, will write their own article. Isn’t that what Wikipedia is for? And Facebook?
I’m not saying I would do a better job than you. I’m not saying I need topics (I have about 50 already written which have not been published yet). I just know there are subjects I would not naturally research or write.
So, this is a way of giving back. You have been kind to read my ramblings. Thank you. Now can I do something for you in return?

One way of giving back is when we post short stories and seasonal items for your amusement. My hope is that you appreciate those gifts.
Secondarily (tho this is not why I mention this), some might find one of my posts so interesting that they wish I could say more. It happens. Owly’s interest was ignited once when I spoke about honey bees. She was curious about the other pollinators to which I had alluded. The follow-up post was good information and helpful. Regarding “Christmas on Blurry Mountain” several have requested MORE. (Yes, I am researching and writing a backstory. It involves way too much research … like a couple days of research per page. Who knew that trains weren’t everywhere until the late 1800s, they often didn’t connect, and sometimes didn’t have the same gauge or width between rails? So, the most common way to travel continued to be by wagon until the Civil War and beyond.)
Warnings. First, I do have political thoughts, and a careful reader would have no trouble discerning them, but I avoid writing directly about politics. Prior to the election I wrote a short list of subjects voters really want the candidates to speak about (doubtful either candidate discussed any). The last item in the list asked what we should do about Canada. In retrospect, probably the most amusing on the list. Second, there are a few other topics I avoid as well. So, don’t ask me to write about … what goes into sausage. If I’m ever going to enjoy another I can’t know the truth. We all have things of that nature. I have my sensibilities, you know!
So, TELL ME what you’d like to see here. (Who else does that?) This is an ongoing offer.
Thank you.

Weird!!! I was just introduced to people showing off STICKS they had found. Apparently this is a “thing.”
It is just something that fell out of your neighbor’s tree, and it is WORTH?? showing off?
Do you ever get out of the neighborhood? I mean, have you ever taken a walk along a wooded trail? Guess what!
Sticks are literally everywhere there. Go for it, Rangerboy.
Rangerboy…HAHAHAHAHA!!!
Sometimes the things I read make me want to scream “liar, liar, pants on fire.” The headline, of course, grabs my attention. The article, on the other hand, proves it was only bait. Read one this morning which interested me because several in my family have faced this medical issue: Reducing the risk of dementia. The article was merely a “stock image” of every other worthless article about this medical issue. No evidence-based medical facts. I’m going to call them out.
