Pete had an appointment at the VA in Saginaw so, as usual, I drove and we used it as an excuse for a day trip of fun stuff and shopping. It was an absolutely gorgeous morning!
The first thing we did in Saginaw was have lunch at one of our favorite eating spots – Tony’s at Fashion Square! Pete got Fish’n’Chips (included slaw, not shown) and I got a bunless mushroom’n’swiss burger with tots.
I thought the bushes outside the window next to us looked pretty cool too.
After lunch I dropped Pete off at the VA for what was supposed to be a long appointment, he thought. Then I drove all the way to the back of the lot where it’s pretty quiet to wait. And got myself set up to work on my site for the duration.
Pete got done earlier than expected, so when we left I suggested it was time for haircuts. My hair has been getting so long that I’ve been ready to start hacking at it myself; if I could have found Pete’s electric clippers I’d have already settled the issue. Anyway…that was the next stop.

Finally, after groceries and gas…a stop at my favorite pet supply store while we were in the area! Isn’t this nanday/sun conure a cutie???
We had a great day together, did a lot of stuff, and came home with everything we needed…and I was still walking – GREAT day!
