We are big fan of adoption when it comes to our pets, the vast majority of our dogs, cats, and parrots have been adopted by us from shelters or rescues and each has been an amazing experience that led to beautiful relationships. The stories that follow share some experiences that others have told, as well as some other interesting videos and other information on the subject. There will be 31 of these – ENJOY!

For today, the final day of Adopt A Dog month, I have a few resources for you, and also a link to my Maisie’s adoption story. It was written over 5 years ago, and she has totally become everything I wrote about at that time – times 1000! An amazing dog who matured to a beautiful, strong 80 lb animal – a far cry from the small momma dog, nearly a puppy herself, who was rescued on that cold winter day! I am forever thankful for those who rescued her and then adopted her out to me, and think of them every single day.
